Great hotel. Everything was spot on. On Thursday morning there was some disturbance from the bin lorry, the laundry van and deliveries. But otherwise top.

Parkhotel Horst is right on the A73, between Venlo and Nijmegen, with its own car park in front of the door. That is where the Tesla Superchargers are, accessible day and night. Driving a different electric car? You are just as welcome.
No need to book. Four steps and you are back on the road.

Our car park is right in front of the entrance, with no barrier or parking meter. The chargers stand in a single row, so you drive straight up to them. Parking is free.

Charging starts automatically; there is nothing to start or sign in to. Not driving a Tesla? Open the Tesla app and choose the option 'Charge Your Non-Tesla'.

The Tesla app shows which charging points are free, how far charging has got and when your car is ready. Meanwhile you have a coffee or lunch at restaurant BØFF, a few steps from the chargers.

From almost empty to full takes half an hour to 45 minutes. Unplug and you are on your way again, towards Venlo, Nijmegen or beyond.
Recharge yourself while you wait
Pop in at BØFF
There is no need to sit in the car while it charges. Restaurant BØFF is a few steps from the charging points: a coffee with Limburg vlaai, a quick breakfast, lunch, dinner or drinks with a bite to eat.
In good weather you take a seat on our spacious terrace, overlooking the lake and the Kasteelse Bossen. That way your car is not the only one recharged before you drive on.

Yes. These days you can charge almost any electric car at a Tesla Supercharger. Download the Tesla app, choose the option 'Charge Your Non-Tesla' and follow the steps in the app. Nothing else changes: you plug in and charging begins.
How long does charging take?
Usually thirty to forty-five minutes for a full battery. Of the sixteen Superchargers, twelve deliver 150 kW and four deliver 250 kW, so at a 250 kW charging point you are done sooner.
Do I need to book or check in at reception?
No. The Superchargers are in our publicly accessible car park and can be used freely day and night. There is no need to sign in or arrange anything.
What does parking cost while I charge?
Nothing. Parking at Parkhotel Horst is free, for hotel guests and visitors alike. There are 81 parking spaces on our own grounds, with no barrier or parking meter. You pay for the charging itself through Tesla.
Can I eat or drink something while I charge?
Certainly. Restaurant BØFF is a few steps from the charging points and is open all day for coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. In good weather you sit on the terrace overlooking the lake and the Kasteelse Bossen.

Pleasant stay
Beautiful hotel in a magnificent setting by the water. Room fine and a relaxed atmosphere in the hotel. The only downside was traffic noise with the windows open. The surroundings, with lots of nature and charming villages, invite you to go walking or cycling. Breakfast and dinner were fine/good. Staff friendly and helpful. The swimming pool and wellness facilities are a nice bonus too.

Back for the umpteenth time, always a lovely and cosy stay. Friendly staff, excellent food, magnificent setting by the water, easy to reach and plenty to do in the hotel and the surrounding area

What a wonderful experience. Great, and this hotel is highly recommended!
How we enjoyed your fantastic hotel! We had a Comfort room, 27m2, and for us more than enough space thanks to the efficient layout, spotlessly clean, lovely chairs and, not forgetting, the wonderful and very wide beds, and not forgetting the spacious bathroom with separate shower and bath. Full praise for the staff too, exceptionally kind, capable and helpful! Breakfast is top and very varied, with delicious egg dishes among other things, including a soft-boiled egg, soft fruit, pancakes and various kinds of quark. And for those who like them, there are hard-boiled eggs too. Striking on arrival: a beautifully decorated, large and imposing space with pleasant seating areas and all the shared facilities, such as the space for breakfast, dinner and the bar, all in all efficiently and functionally laid out. Add to that a lovely terrace overlooking a small lake and the beautiful swimming pool (the only small drawback is that the pool does not open until 10:00). Conclusion: a great experience and we would love to come back again.
